Le Prix Environnemental Kilimo, initié par Environmental Defenders, récompense les contributions exceptionnelles d'individus, d'organisations, de communautés et de chefs traditionnels dans la sauvegarde des forêts tropicales et la lutte contre le changement climatique au sein des régions du Rift Albertin et du Bassin du Congo.
